Chamber & Blades
Make sure the blades & sealings are correct installed
Blades Positions and how to maximize blade & end seal performance
Two different types of blades are used in a typical chamber system "AR" (Metering Blade) carries out the final scraping of the Anilox roller before the ink or varnish is transported to the roller or plate "LR" (Containment Blade) as the name indicates, it contains the Ink or the varnish inside the chamber.
These blades are wearing parts and must be changed regularly due to wear and tear. The wear depends on elements such as speed, the surface of the anilox roller as well as pigmentation in the Ink or varnish etc
Clarification of blade position which blade is Working blade or containment blade depends on the structure of each chamber and which direction the anilox roller turns. The diagram below shows the correct position of "AR" in relation to the rotation of the anilox roller in terms of "clockwise" (MEU) and "counter-clockwise" (MOU). "LR" is placed opposite "AR"
